Prof. Pan’s research focuses on understanding the mechanisms underlying fate decision in human pluripotent stem cells (hPSCs); and on generating functional neural stem cells (NSCs) or hematopoietic/immune cells from hPSCs for clinical purposes. He has published more than 30 peer-reviewed papers as corresponding author or first author in decent scientific journals, such as Nature Methods and Cell Stem Cell, and has been awarded the Outstanding Scientific and Technological Achievement Prize of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (Outstanding Contributor); National Natural Science Awards (Second Class, 2013; 2018); Guangdong Science Awards (First Class, 2019).
Prof. Micky Tortorella | Principal Scientist
His research interests include drug discovery and translational medicine, with a focus on developing novel small molecule and peptide therapeutics targeting central nervous system disorders and musculoskeletal diseases. He currently leads multiple drug discovery pipelines, including GPCR-targeted CNS candidates, with the most advanced program having completed Phase I clinical trials.

Dr. Lu Feng
His research focuses on mechanisms and applications of non-coding RNAs (including miRNAs and lncRNAs) and small-molecule drugs in stem cell biology and regenerative medicine. Specific research interests include the roles and therapeutic potential of non-coding RNAs and small-molecule compounds in stem cell differentiation and in musculoskeletal disorders such as fracture healing, osteoporosis, and osteoarthritis. He has authored over 50 SCI-indexed papers, including more than 20 as first or corresponding author. He has served as Co-Investigator on one Hong Kong Medical and Health Research Fund (HMRF) project and is principal investigator on IDEATION programme from Hong Kong Science Park. He also serves as peer reviewer for multiple journals in orthopaedics and stem cell research.
Dr. Yue Kang
Her research interests include AI-driven drug discovery, with a focus on protein allostery modeling, antibody and protein engineering, and deployable ML systems for virtual screening and discovery pipeline development.
Dr. Ling Kong
Her research focuses on regenerative medicine and development of biomaterials for applications in orthopaedics, dentistry, skin repair and wound healing, and the advancement of oral health care technologies.
Dr. Yaofeng Wang
His research interests include tooth regenerative medicine and advanced therapeutic approaches for periodontal diseases. His research methodologies involve organoids, stem cell biology, multi‑omics, and artificial‑intelligence–empowered bioinformatics.
